Subarus Win 2, lose 1:
The Steele Subarus went 1-1 on the weekend, after defeating Cole Harbour on Wednesday.
Wednesday saw the Subarus visit Cole Harbour. After jumping out to a 3-0 lead, the Subarus relied on their depth and 6 different goal scorers to hold on and win 6-2. Scoring for the Subz were O’Donnell, Langlois, Mercer, Andrews, Green, and Jenkins. Noah Harvey 34 saves in the win. Final shots were 36-31 Cole Harbour.
On Saturday, the Subz hosted the Valley Wildcats, for their second meeting in 6 days. Much like Wednesday, the Subz got the lead early and held on to it, for another 6-2 win. Subarus goals came from Green (2), Foster (2), Pellerine, and Jenkins. Joey Hawco made 26 saves for the win. Final shots were 38-28 Subarus.
On Sunday, we hosted the Macs at the Zatzman for the first time this season. A back and forth game saw the Subz win streak come to an end at 4, as the Macs picked up the win 6-4. Garcin, Normandeau, Jenkins, and Mercer had the Subaru goals, while Harvey took the loss in nets, after making 24 saves. Shots were 32-30 Subarus.
The Subarus currently sit in 3rd place in League Standings (20gp, 28pts), just 2 points behind the Wildcats (22gp, 30pts), with 2 games at hand. The Wolfpack are 5 points behind, in 4th place, with 20gp and 23 points.
