Subarus Go 2-0 for Thanksgiving

The Subz went 2-0 this weekend, defeating the Weeks 6-3 on Saturday, then defeating the South Shore Mustangs on Sunday, 7-1.

Saturday saw the Subarus head to New Glasgow to play the Weeks for the first time this season. Liam Andrews and Vinny Radford both scored their first career U18 Major Goals for the Subz, as we went on to win 6-3. Also scoring for the Subarus was Camden Pellerine, Blake Prilgrim-Edwards, Ben Mercer, and Zachary Jenkins. Final shots were 27-24 Weeks. Joey Hawco made 24 Saves in the win.

Sunday, back at home, we played the South Shore Mustangs. Subaru Captain Mercer scored his 2nd Hat-trick in 3 games, including his league leading 11th goal to lead the Subz to a 7-1 win. Andrew Lordon, Luke Foster, Will Normandeau, and Malcolm Green also scored. Finals shots were 36-29 Subarus. Joey Hawco made 28 saves for his 2nd victory of the weekend.

The Subarus currently sit in 3rd place in the standings, with 2 games at hand over the 2nd place Macs and 4th Place Rush.
