Henman Signs with Seattle

Subaru Alumni and former Captain Luke Henman has made NHL history as the first player to sign with the expansion Seattle Kraken.

Henman, who turned 21 in April, played 2 full season with the Dartmouth Steele Subaru Club, 2015-2016, and 2016-2017. In his first year with the team, Henman put up 36 points in 38 games, then added 11 more in 11 playoff games. That season the team earned a trip to the Telus Cup National Championship, where he added another goal.

Electing to return to U18 for another season, Henman was named team captain, and proceeded to lead the team with 60 points in 35 games, and 13 points in 11 playoff games, losing in the final to the Cape Breton West Islanders.

Originally drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2018 in the 4th round, 96th overall, Henman was not signed by the team, making him eligible to be signed as a free agent.

He has spent the last 4 seasons with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in the QMJHL, serving as captain for the last 2.

He joins Peter Diliberatore (Vegas) as the second player from the 2015-2016 Subaru Class to sign with an NHL team

Our organization would like to congratulate Luke on his accomplishment!
